Family Medicine and Diabetes Care in Mishawaka, IN

Dr. Brian Huber built T1D Hub around a simple idea: patients deserve time, honesty, and a doctor who actually listens. After years in traditional primary care, he set out to remove the barriers that get in the way of good medicine and build a practice centered on real relationships with patients and their families. Whether you’re here for a wellness visit or living with type 1 diabetes, you’ll find a team that treats you like a person, not a chart.

A Deeper Commitment to Type 1 Diabetes

Dr. Brian Huber’s focus on type 1 diabetes is personal. Noticing that the Mishawaka area had no endocrinology practice, he became one of the few local primary care doctors willing to take on pump therapy, and he’s since gone further, working with Sanofi and Insulet on diabetes education, serving on Insulet’s national Omnipod advisory board, and helping lead a diabetes-screening initiative to catch type 1 diabetes early in patients’ family members.

What sets his care apart is time: he sits down with patients to actually go through their CGM and pump data together, something many say no doctor has done for them before, and he welcomes the whole family of a type 1 patient into his care, not just the diagnosis. A board-certified family physician (ABFM, 2012; residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, 2011; MD, University of Cincinnati, 2008), he maintains affiliations with Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center and Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
