Dr. Brian Huber, MD

Dr. Brian Huber

Board-Certified Family Physician | Primary Care

“If you are looking for a doctor who talks to you like a real person, pairs medical expertise with common sense, and isn’t afraid to use a little humor to make a point, you’ve found him.”

Dr. Brian Huber is a board-certified family medicine physician who has served the Mishawaka and South Bend communities for over 15 years. He approaches healthcare as a partnership. “You are the captain of your ship, and I am the navigation system making sure you don’t hit an iceberg,” Dr. Huber says. “However, when you accidentally steer yourself into the iceberg, I call the Coast Guard to come save your life.”

Dr. Huber sees his role not as a dictator of your health, but as your expert guide. He focuses on educating you and presenting clear choices so you can make the best decisions to live the healthy life you want. As a primary care doctor, he manages the full spectrum of adult and pediatric health needs, specializing in:

  • Chronic Disease Management: Advanced care for high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes, and high cholesterol.
  • Acute Illnesses: Treating pneumonia, upper respiratory infections, and seasonal allergies.
  • Preventive Medicine: Annual physicals, routine screenings, and lifestyle wellness.

To ensure his patients receive seamless care if they ever need advanced hospital services, Dr. Huber maintains close clinical affiliations with Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center and Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

A Normal Guy Doing Normal Things

Family First

Dr. Huber has been married to his wife—whom he credits as his ultimate role model and guiding light—for over 27 years.

The Outdoors and Conservation

An avid fan of conservationist Steve Rinella, Dr. Huber spends his free time hunting, shooting, and cooking wild game.

Hands-On Beginnings

Long before medical school, Dr. Huber’s first job was in home construction. He fell in love with hard work and learned practical, hands-on skills that he still uses today.

Just a Normal Guy

When he isn’t in the clinic, you can probably find him wearing his favorite cowboy boots, experimenting with a new recipe in the kitchen with his family, or playing video games. (And yes, he is proudly “above average” at Fortnite.)

In His Own Words

My wife. I would be a totally different person if she hadn’t been in my life for 27 years and counting.

Home construction. I loved every minute of it. I worked hard and learned skills that would be utilized throughout my entire life.

My favorite food is the next new dish my family makes. Bad Words with Jason Bateman is my favorite movie.

My favorite class was any one where I could “argue” with the teacher.

Steve Rinella, so I could pick his brain about hunting, cooking wild game, and conservation efforts.

Hunting, shooting, cooking, video games, cowboy boots.

I am “above average” at Fortnite.
